To prevent emotional child abuse you should do the following:
1. Develop a relationship with your parent(s).
2. When talking to a victim you need to recognize their insecurities.
3. Encourage a victim to get help by talking to a therapist or counselor.
4. Let them know that no one is forcing them to change and you accept them for all of their flaws.
5. If you see someone picking on someone else, defend them.
